Congresswoman Elise Stefanik<\/a> is joining the incoming Trump administration<\/a> which will trigger a special election sometime in the next few months.<\/p>\n

Dan Stec<\/a> has already declared his candidacy<\/a> and Fox News has a breakdown of some of the other potential candidates<\/a> from both parties. Stec and other Republicans Robert Smullen<\/a> and Chris Tague<\/a> would be fine from a 2A<\/a> perspective as would Steve McLaughlin<\/a>, although I don’t see him giving up his current job<\/a>.\u00a0 They all have voting records to go on.<\/p>\n

At this point I’m thinking Sticker Mule CEO Anthony Constantino<\/a> would be the best choice. I’m not aware of his stance on gun rights, but I suspect he would be more aggressive in pushing the Trump agenda<\/a> especially on gun rights<\/a> than the others would.<\/p>\n
