James Skoufis<\/a> announced Saturday his candidacy to become the next chairman of the Democratic National Committee. The senator, representing most of Orange County and the Catskills, touted his bipartisan appeal in an announcement\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/JamesSkoufis\/status\/1862861313615036443\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" data-nyp-affiliate=\"true\">video posted to his X account<\/a>. \u201cI\u2019ve won on tough Trump turf three times. I\u2019ve won when governors face red waves, all while bringing the Democratic big tent together and never sacrificing our values,\u201d Skoufis said &#8230;&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>No one outside the Hudson Valley knows who he is.\u00a0 He&#8217;s hardly a power broker in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">State Senate<\/a> either, much less statewide. I don&#8217;t take this seriously.<\/p>\n<p>Next is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/politics-news\/national-anti-violence-activist-david-hogg-launches-bid-dnc-leadership-rcna184366\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">noted antigunner David Hogg<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/davidhogg111\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">David Hogg<\/a>, a survivor of the 2018 shooting at his high school in Parkland, Florida, who turned into a national anti-violence activist, has launched a bid to serve in leadership of the Democratic National Committee. Hogg, 24, announced Monday he is running to become a vice chair of the DNC, arguing he would focus on winning back young voters who have drifted from the Democratic Party to the Republicans &#8230;&#8221; <\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Hogg is a a walking, talking <a href=\"https:\/\/twitchy.com\/tags\/david-hogg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">meme-making machine<\/a>.
