{"id":28988,"date":"2024-12-05T15:05:44","date_gmt":"2024-12-05T20:05:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gunpoliticsny.com\/?p=28988"},"modified":"2024-12-05T19:17:05","modified_gmt":"2024-12-06T00:17:05","slug":"two-new-resolutions-introduced-to-city-council","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.gunpoliticsny.com\/?p=28988","title":{"rendered":"Two new resolutions introduced to City Council"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.crystalforbk.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Councilwoman Crystal Hudson<\/a> has introduced two new virtue signalling resolutions to the <a href=\"https:\/\/council.nyc.gov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Clown Council<\/a>:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/legistar.council.nyc.gov\/Legislation.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RES 681-2024<\/a><\/strong> calls on the State Legislature to pass, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.governor.ny.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Governor<\/a> to sign, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\/legislation\/bills\/2023\/S9904\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">S-9904<\/a><\/strong>, in relation to defining the term mass shooting for purposes of emergency response measures and access to emergency funding.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/legistar.council.nyc.gov\/Legislation.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">RES 682-2024<\/a><\/strong> calls on the State Legislature to pass, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.governor.ny.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Governor<\/a> to sign, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\/legislation\/bills\/2023\/S9905\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">S-9905<\/a><\/strong>, in relation to establishing the Office of Gun Violence Prevention and the Gun Violence Advisory Council.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>These garbage bills exist primarily to help divert state monies to the cronies of electeds.  They are both sponsored by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zellnor.nyc\/\" target=\"_blank\">Senator Zellnor Myrie<\/a> who just so happens <a href=\"https:\/\/ny1.com\/nyc\/all-boroughs\/politics\/2024\/05\/09\/zellnor-myrie-mayor-nyc-2025\" target=\"_blank\">wants to run for Mayor<\/a> next year.
