Sportsmen<\/a> sent out <a href=\"..\/files\/FSCUC-Position-ContestBan-S4099-7-14-2023.pdf\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">an opposition memo<\/a> to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.governor.ny.gov\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Governor<\/a> and local electeds requesting a veto of the bill to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newyorkupstate.com\/outdoors\/2023\/06\/new-york-state-legislature-passes-bill-banning-wildlife-killing-contests.html\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">prohibit wildlife hunting contests<\/a>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\/legislation\/bills\/2023\/A2917\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">A-2917<\/a>\/<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\/legislation\/bills\/2023\/S4099\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">S-4099<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s too little, too late and I don&#8217;t see a veto happening.
