The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nyassembly.gov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Assembly<\/a> may come back for a special session in a few weeks, but no gun-related items are on the talked about agenda as of now.<\/p>\n<p>Here is the list of relevant gun control bills which passed this session:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\/legislation\/bills\/2023\/a2209\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">A-2209<\/a>\/<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\/legislation\/bills\/2023\/s816\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">S-816<\/a><\/strong>, Makes clarifying changes to the definition of imitation weapon.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\/legislation\/bills\/2023\/a5092\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">A-5092<\/a>\/<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\/legislation\/bills\/2023\/s4879\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">S-4879<\/a><\/strong>, Provides that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westchesterlegislators.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the legislative body of the county of Westchester<\/a> shall fix the fee to be charged for a license to carry or possess a pistol or revolver and provide for the disposition of such fees.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\/legislation\/bills\/2023\/a5791\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">A-5791A<\/a>\/<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\/legislation\/bills\/2023\/s6238\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">S-6238A<\/a><\/strong>, Defines the term mass shooting for purposes of emergency response measures and access to emergency funding.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\/legislation\/bills\/2023\/a5835\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">A-5835<\/a>\/<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\/legislation\/bills\/2023\/s3436\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">S-3436<\/a><\/strong>, Exempts applications for an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ny.gov\/programs\/red-flag-gun-protection-law\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Extreme Risk Protection Order<\/a> from requiring an index number fee.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.everytown.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Everytown&#8217;s<\/a> Albany agenda was primarily to get funding for various money-funnel schemes including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timesunion.com\/capitol\/article\/grieving-families-bill-heads-hochul-s-desk-18137993.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the Grieving Families Act<\/a> and payments to <a href=\"https:\/\/wnyt.com\/top-stories\/advocates-for-gun-laws-meet-with-albany-lawmakers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">so-called gun violence survivors<\/a>.
