Sean Patrick Maloney<\/a> is <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/10\/24\/sean-patrick-maloney-mike-lawler-ny-17-race-now-a-toss-up\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">in big trouble<\/a> back home.<\/p>\n<p>He&#8217;s attempting to <a href=\"https:\/\/westchester.news12.com\/early-voting-lawler-holds-back-the-blue-rally-former-president-clinton-stumps-for-maloney\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">rally his base<\/a> with promises of gun control:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;&#8230; In Nyack, Maloney also amped up his support base during a rally. &#8220;My argument is, if you give me two more years, I\u2019m going to keep getting your costs down. I&#8217;m going to protect your Social Security and Medicare. <strong>We&#8217;re going to take on<\/strong> big drug companies, <strong>big gun companies<\/strong>, big oil companies, and we&#8217;re going to fight for people,\u201d he said. Former <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bill_Clinton\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">President Bill Clinton<\/a> was in attendance &#8230;&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/10\/14\/mike-lawler-leads-pelosi-pal-dccc-chair-sean-patrick-maloney-poll\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Latest polling<\/a> shows his opponent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lawlerforcongress.com\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Assemblyman Mike Lawler<\/a> is leading by several points.<\/p>\n<p>Lawler knocking out Maloney would be a big deal.
