rating"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nrapvf.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NRA<\/a> has given an <strong>&#8220;A&#8221;<\/strong> rating and endorsement to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sueserino.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">State Senator Sue Serino<\/a>.\u00a0 She faces <strong>&#8220;F&#8221;<\/strong> rated <a href=\"https:\/\/michellehinchey.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">State Senator Michelle Hinchey<\/a> in the race for the new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.latfor.state.ny.us\/maps\/senate2022\/sen41.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">41st District<\/a>.\u00a0 They have done an &#8220;orange card&#8217; mailing on her behalf and a larger mailing attacking Hinchey stating, &#8220;&#8230; [T]here is a PRO-GUN CANDIDATE, SENATOR SUSAN SERINO, who has a <u>proven record<\/u> of protecting our Second Amendment rights &#8230;&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>That is not an accurate reflection of her voting record.<\/p>\n<p>From the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailyfreeman.com\/2021\/06\/09\/mid-hudson-republicans-generally-oppose-gun-control-bills-but-serino-and-martucci-vote-in-favor-of-two\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Daily Freeman<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;&#8230; Two Republican state senators in the Mid-Hudson Valley joined Democrats this week in supporting two bills that sponsors say could reduce gun violence.\u00a0But Sue Serino, R-Hyde Park, and <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mike_Martucci\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mike Martucci, R-New Hampton<\/a>, voted against other gun-related measures that came before legislators &#8230; The Legislature passed a package of anti-gun violence bills on Tuesday ranging from a ban on possession of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\/legislation\/bills\/2021\/s14\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u201cghost\u201d guns<\/a>\u00a0that lack serial numbers to a ban on the purchase of a weapon\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\/legislation\/bills\/2021\/s5000\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">by anyone facing an outstanding arrest warrant for a felony or serious offense<\/a> &#8230;
