Two of the candidates have public records on 2A, two do not. This is how they break down on the issues:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.robastorino.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rob Astorino<\/a>. As Westchester County Executive he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theexaminernews.com\/county-center-gun-show-held-after-astorino-vetoes-ban\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">brought gun shows back to the County Center in White Plains<\/a> and streamlined the pistol licensing process. He called for <a href=\"https:\/\/buffalonews.com\/news\/local\/astorino-unfazed-by-polls-vows-repeal-of-safe-act-common-core\/article_e904813c-c4a3-58b2-a9e0-fdf7dcafd85c.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">repealing of the SAFE Act<\/a> from the start and said before <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/news\/us\/supreme-court-says-constitution-protects-right-to-carry-a-gun-outside-the-home\/ar-AAYMQVB\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the SCOTUS decision was announced<\/a> that <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RobAstorino\/status\/1539990143087542272\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York should become right-to-carry<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/zeldinfornewyork.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Lee Zeldin<\/a>. As a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.goarmy.com\/reserve.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Army Reservist<\/a> he was on active duty at the time and was not present when the <a href=\"https:\/\/safeact.ny.gov\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">SAFE Act<\/a> was voted on. He did speak at a rally opposing it in 2013.\u00a0 As a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">State Senator<\/a> he did vote for <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Andrew_Cuomo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Governor Cuomo&#8217;s<\/a> budget bills, but the SAFE Act cannot be defunded this way so while fiscal criticism is valid here, 2A criticism is not.\u00a0 As a member of Congress he co-sponsored <a href=\"https:\/\/www.govtrack.us\/congress\/bills\/117\/hr38\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">H.R. 38: Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act<\/a> and signed on to the <a href=\"https:\/\/tenney.house.gov\/media\/press-releases\/congresswoman-claudia-tenney-leads-congressional-amicus-brief-supreme-court\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Congressional amicus brief in support of concealed carry<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/harrywilsonforgovernor.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Harry Wilson<\/a>. No known public record on the issue. There is no mention of gun control on his campaign website. He did visit the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/pinetreerifleclub\/posts\/5255533617847485\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pine Tree Rifle Club recently<\/a>. His campaign appears to be based upon fiscal policy and not social issues.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/nyforgiuliani.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Andrew Giuliani<\/a>.
