A home rule bill has been introduced allowing Westchester to set it’s own fees for firearms licenses.<\/p>\n
A-7939<\/a>\/S-6659<\/a><\/strong>, Provides that the legislative body of the county of Westchester<\/a> shall fix the fee to be charged for a license to carry or possess a pistol or revolver and provide for the disposition of such fees.<\/p>\n Justification statement:<\/p>\n \nWestchester County has requested the ability to set these terms at the county level consistent with the treatment given in state law to Nassau and Suffolk Counties.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n That means a few hundred dollars at least.<\/p>\n
