{"id":24467,"date":"2021-10-27T15:34:46","date_gmt":"2021-10-27T19:34:46","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gunpoliticsny.com\/?p=24467"},"modified":"2021-10-27T15:34:46","modified_gmt":"2021-10-27T19:34:46","slug":"gun-bills-sent-to-governor","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.gunpoliticsny.com\/?p=24467","title":{"rendered":"Gun bills sent to Governor"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The following gun bills have been sent to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.governor.ny.gov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Governor<\/a> today:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\/legislation\/bills\/2021\/A613\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">A-613A<\/a>\/<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\/legislation\/bills\/2021\/S14\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">S-14A<\/a><\/strong>, Criminalizes the sale of ghost guns and requires gunsmiths to register and serialize firearms, rifles, shotguns, and unfinished frames or receivers they assemble.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\/legislation\/bills\/2021\/A2111\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">A-2111<\/a>\/<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\/legislation\/bills\/2021\/S5952\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">S-5952<\/a><\/strong>, Provides taxpayer gifts for gun violence research; requires the tax commission to include space on the personal income tax return to enable a taxpayer to make such contribution; establishes the gun violence research fund.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\/legislation\/bills\/2021\/A2666\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">A-2666A<\/a>\/<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\/legislation\/bills\/2021\/S13\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">S13A<\/a><\/strong>, Enacts the &#8220;Scott J.
