Digan supported the organizations\u2019 advocacy for policies preventing gun violence in New York, which has helped build support for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\/legislation\/bills\/2019\/S2448\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">state legislation banning bump stocks<\/a> and allowed courts to remove guns from people flagged as an \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\/legislation\/bills\/2019\/S2451\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">extreme risk.<\/a>\u201d &#8230;&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>There&#8217;s no genuine public support for any of this.<\/p>\n<p>Everytown is essentially funded by one person, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mikebloomberg.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Mike Bloomberg<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/jcope.ny.gov\/\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">he&#8217;s been paying Ostroff $10,000 a month<\/a> plus expenses to push his agenda in Albany.
