Cuomo<\/a> is forced out due to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/cuomo-should-resign-or-be-impeached-59-of-new-yorkers-say-in-new-poll\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">his bad behavior<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Kathy_Hochul\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kathy Hocul<\/a> would then become acting Governor until the 2022 elections.<\/p>\n<p>I can&#8217;t see the Democrats letting her keep that office as she isn&#8217;t from the NYC area. The most likely candidate would be <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Letitia_James\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tish James<\/a>. In many ways James is worse than Cuomo in so far as she is an political ideologue whereas Cuomo is a political opportunist.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/alessandrabiaggi.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Senator Alessandra Biaggi&#8217;s<\/a> name <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/news\/politics\/former-cuomo-staffer-considers-running-against-governor-in-democratic-primary-next-year\/ar-AAMFTcB\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">has been floated<\/a> as a candidate for higher office, possibly for Lieutenant Governor. Another ideologue, a James-Biaggi ticket would be bad for just about everything including 2A rights.<\/p>\n<p>As awful as Cuomo&#8217;s behavior has been and as destructive as &#8220;progressive&#8221; policies have been for the state, I don&#8217;t see Republicans being in a position to capitalize on any of it in New York.
