{"id":2366,"date":"2010-09-26T12:04:54","date_gmt":"2010-09-26T16:04:54","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gunpoliticsny.com\/?p=2366"},"modified":"2010-09-26T12:04:54","modified_gmt":"2010-09-26T16:04:54","slug":"news-of-the-day-31","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.gunpoliticsny.com\/?p=2366","title":{"rendered":"News of the day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/capitaltonight.com\/2010\/09\/cuomo-for-schneiderman-finally\/\" target=\"_blank\">Andrew Cuomo endorsed Eric Schneiderman<\/a> for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ag.ny.gov\" target=\"_blank\">Attorney General<\/a>. \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nyc.gov\/mayor\">Mayor Bloomberg<\/a>, who is backing <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dandonovan.org\" target=\"_blank\">Dan Donvan<\/a>, said <a href=\"http:\/\/www.observer.com\/2010\/politics\/bloomberg-praises-donovan-warns-against-ag-social-agenda\" target=\"_blank\">this about Schneiderman<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;&#8230; You always get worried when you have a candidate for attorney general that wants to use that office to enact a social agenda &#8230;&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Right. \u00a0But it&#8217;s ok for him to do that with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mayorsagainstillegalguns.org\" target=\"_blank\">MAIG<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Republicans are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.scribd.com\/doc\/37938900\/Rick-Lazio-Letter\" target=\"_blank\">trying to push Rick Lazio out<\/a> of the Governors race. \u00a0It&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.politico.com\/blogs\/maggiehaberman\/0910\/Lazio_sounding_like_hes_in_it_.html\" target=\"_blank\">unclear<\/a> if he&#8217;s going to go. \u00a0Lazio would have to either accept a judicial nomination, move out of state or drop dead to be removed from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cpnys.org\" target=\"_blank\">CP<\/a> gubernatorial line.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s also unclear as to who will be <a href=\"http:\/\/www.paladinoforthepeople.com\" target=\"_blank\">Carl Paldino&#8217;s<\/a> running mate. \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.co.chautauqua.ny.us\" target=\"_blank\">Greg Edwards<\/a> won the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nygop.org\" target=\"_blank\">GOP<\/a> and CP primaries for Lt.
