{"id":23518,"date":"2021-03-22T13:53:43","date_gmt":"2021-03-22T17:53:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gunpoliticsny.com\/?p=23518"},"modified":"2021-03-22T13:53:43","modified_gmt":"2021-03-22T17:53:43","slug":"everytown-lobbying-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.gunpoliticsny.com\/?p=23518","title":{"rendered":"Everytown lobbying update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Even though access to the <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/QeqNX6EbfrVw5DTD8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">LOB\/CAP<\/a> is limited due to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/coronavirus\/2019-ncov\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">COVID<\/a> restrictions, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.everytown.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Everytown&#8217;s<\/a> lobbyists at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ostroffassociates.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ostroff Associates<\/a> have been busy pushing the agenda.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to lobbying on &#8220;executive budget provisions&#8221;, which I assume are appropriations geared towards handouts to antigun legislators cronies back home, they have been working on the following bills with a multitude of electeds and staff:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\/legislation\/bills\/2021\/A614\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">A-614<\/a>\/<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\/legislation\/bills\/2021\/S14\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">S-14<\/a><\/strong>, Enacts the &#8220;Jose Webster Untraceable Firearms Act.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\/legislation\/bills\/2021\/A2666\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">A-2666<\/a>\/<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\/legislation\/bills\/2021\/S13\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">S-13<\/a><\/strong>, Enacts the &#8220;Scott J.
