The Central Brooklyn Political Action Association held an online forum<\/a> with the current crop of announced Democrat candidates for Mayor.<\/p>\n

On the issue of guns two participants made statements of note: former HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan<\/a> and current Brooklyn Borough President Eric Adams<\/a>:<\/p>\n

“… Donovan said \u201cwe need a mayor who\u2019s going to lead a national coalition of mayors against the gun industry\u201d and that \u201cif we can cut the supply of guns, we can dramatically change this situation.\u201d …”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

He’s just regurgitating the old MAIG<\/a> line. Boring.<\/p>\n

“… \u201cI\u2019ve dedicated my life to the issue of gun violence,\u201d Adams said, adding he \u201cwould reinstitute the [NYPD] crime prevention unit<\/a>, which would…target the specific shooters.\u201d He also said \u201cwe need a tristate approach to stop the flow of guns to this city.\u201d …”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Adams has a long history of promoting gun control schemes<\/a> going back to his time in the Senate<\/a>. The last nonsense he was pushing was smart guns\/smart holsters<\/a>.\u00a0 Do not what exactly he’s talking about now, but I’m sure it is more of the same failed ideas.<\/p>\n
