{"id":22359,"date":"2020-08-19T13:16:31","date_gmt":"2020-08-19T17:16:31","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gunpoliticsny.com\/?p=22359"},"modified":"2020-08-19T13:16:31","modified_gmt":"2020-08-19T17:16:31","slug":"s-8926-targets-gun-manufacturers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.gunpoliticsny.com\/?p=22359","title":{"rendered":"S-8926 targets gun manufacturers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last year <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gunpoliticsny.com\/?p=20395\">a Democrat spokesman<\/a> said they were looking into drafting legislation to allow lawsuits against gun manufacturers to go forward.<\/p>\n<p>This week <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/zellnor4ny\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Senator Zellnor Myrie<\/a> introduced <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\/legislation\/bills\/2019\/s8926\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">S-8926<\/a><\/strong> to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\/committees\/rules\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Rules<\/a>. The short one sentence bill reads:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Section 1.
