For the Democratic nomination, we support State Senator Eric Schneiderman &#8230;&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Yeah, promote civil rights except for those <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">specifically enumerated<\/span> civil rights which the Times editors do not approve of.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.timesunion.com\/capitol\/archives\/30906\/nyt-endorsement-fallout\/\" target=\"_blank\">Capitol Confidential<\/a> this endorsement is a big deal:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;&#8230;\u00a0The Times endorsement is seen as a major plum for the Democratic Party, where many stalwart Democrats in New York City rely on the paper as their main source of news &#8230;&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I think not. \u00a0This <em>might<\/em> have been true many years ago, but is not now. \u00a0Their circulation has been <a href=\"http:\/\/www.inquisitr.com\/6447\/us-newspaper-circulation-down-47\/\" target=\"_blank\">dropping for years<\/a> and is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/wall-street-journals-circulation-up-new-york-times-circulation-down-2010-4\" target=\"_blank\">down more than 8%<\/a> from last year alone. \u00a0People, regardless of their ideology, \u00a0just do not rely on old media outlets like the Times anymore. \u00a0This is not the game changer Schneiderman&#8217;s campaign is <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cityhallnews.com\/newyork\/article-1511-schneiderman-campaign-memo-says-times-ldearthquakerd-eliminates-dinallo-coffey-and-brodsky-from-ag-race.html\" target=\"_blank\">trying to spin it as<\/a>.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ssb_list_wrapper\"><li class=\"fb2\" style=\"width:135px\"><iframe src=\"\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/like.php?href=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gunpoliticsny.com%2F%3Fp%3D2175&amp;layout=button_count&amp;action=like&amp;show_faces=false&amp;share=true&amp;width=135&amp;height=21&amp;appId=307091639398582\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" style=\"border:none;
