With incumbent David Buchwald running for Congress<\/a>, Bedford town Supervisor Christopher Burdick<\/a> announced his intention to run for Buchwald’s State Assembly<\/a> seat.<\/p>\n

The Bedford Patch reports<\/a>:<\/p>\n

“… On Wednesday, Bedford town Supervisor Christopher Burdick announced a run for the New York State Assembly. The 93rd District<\/a> includes Bedford, Lewisboro, Mount Kisco, North Salem, Pound Ridge and parts of New Castle, North Castle, Harrison and White Plains … On his website, he listed essential issues on which the district’s residents need to be heard in Albany, including property taxes, state funding for critical water and sewer projects, the climate crisis, local school funding, common-sense gun control<\/strong>, affordable housing for local seniors, workers and young families, reproductive health rights and the opioid crisis …”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

I don’t see his website and I cannot find any other statements by Burdick on the issue.<\/p>\n

The district has about 41K registered Democrats to 23K Republicans so it’s Burdick’s race to lose.\u00a0 No Republican opponent has announced yet.<\/p>\n
