He was one of the co-sponsors of the original right-to-carry legislation in Albany back in the &#8217;70s.<\/p>\n<p>He sent me a nice thank you note 15 years ago after I helped beat <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/George_Pataki\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Gov.
