The House voted for the so-called Violence Against Women Act<\/a> which NRA opposed<\/a> due to it’s gun control provisions.<\/p>\n

Tom Reed<\/a> screwed us over:<\/p>\n

Tom Reed (R-N.Y.), who ultimately did vote for the bill, said he opposed the \u201cred flag\u201d gun control provisions that were added but supported other expansions, such as transgender protections. \u201cTo me, it was the gun issue that they were really playing politics with,\u201d Reed told reporters this week. \u201cWe\u2019re talking about a constitutional freedom, and they\u2019re going down a slippery slope of not having that due process right protected.\u201d …”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Who exactly is playing politics here?\u00a0 Reed.\u00a0 He says he opposed the gun control provisions, but ends up voting for the bill with those provisions in it.<\/p>\n
