Rep. Chris Collins<\/a> has reintroduced his “Second Amendment Guarantee Act<\/a>“:<\/p>\n

“… The Collins bill would prevent states from implementing any regulations on weapons that are more restrictive than what is required by federal law. Passage of the bill would void most of the language included in New York\u2019s Secure Ammunition and Firearms Enforcement Act of 2013<\/a> signed into law by Gov. Andrew Cuomo<\/a> …”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Current bill is H.R.1072<\/a><\/strong> with Tom Reed<\/a>, Elise Stefanik<\/a> and Lee Zeldin<\/a> as co-sponsors.<\/p>\n

It went nowhere in the House<\/a> last session and did not have a Senate<\/a> companion.\u00a0 I do not see it doing any better this time around.\u00a0 It’s primarily purpose is public relations for Collins.<\/p>\n
