The group is also going after seven open, Republican-controlled seats representing districts that include suburbs in metro areas from Seattle to New York City &#8230;&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Who are they targeting?\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/slate.com\/news-and-politics\/2018\/09\/everytown-not-one-more-campaign-flip-republican-house-seats-congress.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">According to Slate<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;&#8230; All 15 of its targets are on the <a href=\"https:\/\/redtoblue.dccc.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee\u2019s \u201cRed to Blue\u201d list<\/a>, districts with strong Democratic candidates with potential to defeat the incumbent Republican or keep their seats in a contentious race &#8230;&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>That gives us this list:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.latfor.state.ny.us\/maps\/2012c\/CD_map_rep_01.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CD-1<\/a> &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.perrygershon.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Perry Gershon<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.latfor.state.ny.us\/maps\/2012c\/CD_map_rep_11.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CD-11<\/a> &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.maxroseforcongress.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Max Rose<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.latfor.state.ny.us\/maps\/2012c\/CD_map_rep_19.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CD-19<\/a> &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.delgadoforcongress.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Antonio Delgado<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.latfor.state.ny.us\/maps\/2012c\/CD_map_rep_22.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CD-22<\/a> &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.brindisiforcongress.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Anthony Brindisi<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.latfor.state.ny.us\/maps\/2012c\/CD_map_rep_24.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CD-24<\/a> &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.electdanabalter.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Dana Balter<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>A few thoughts:<\/p>\n<p>First, this isn&#8217;t a grassroots effort.\u00a0 It&#8217;s just Mayor Mike funneling his cash through Everytown.\u00a0 More astroturf.<\/p>\n<p>Second, this is just plain lazy.\u00a0 I know from experience that surveying candidates and trying to figure out where to put resources is a big effort that takes a long prep time.\u00a0 Everytown clearly didn&#8217;t do any of that if they admit to using DCC&#8217;s list.<\/p>\n<p>Third, they are targeting antigun <a href=\"http:\/\/www.dandonovanforcongress.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Republican Dan Donovan<\/a> in CD-11.\u00a0 Giving the finger to your supporters is not smart.<\/p>\n<p>Fourth, in CD-19 Delgado is largely avoiding gun control with only a vague statement about treating &#8220;gun violence&#8221;
