Governor Cuomo<\/a> has defeated Cynthia Nixon<\/a> in the Democrat primary as expected. It cost him upwards of $20 million to do it compared to her $500,000 and she still scored roughly 37% of the vote.<\/p>\n

Kathy Hochul<\/a> defeated Jumaane Williams<\/a> after grossly outspending him and still only received about 53%.<\/p>\n

Letitia James<\/a> received the Democrat nomination for Attorney General with about 40% in a 4-way race.<\/p>\n

While not unexpected, none of this good for gun owners especially James’ win as she said she would use the office to investigate the NRA<\/a>.\u00a0 As for the Governor, the Daily Beast sums it up, “Andrew Cuomo Is America\u2019s Problem Now.<\/a>”<\/p>\n

The Independence Democrat Conference<\/a> is dead with 6 of 8 losing their primaries<\/a> including ringleader Jeff Klein<\/a>.\u00a0 Good.\u00a0 Fuck them.\u00a0 This does mean, however, that there will be a unified Democrat conference<\/a> next session even if Simcha Felder<\/a> continues to do whatever he pleases.<\/p>\n

In AD-106<\/a> challenger Will Truitt leads incumbent Didi Barrett by 3 votes<\/a> in the Independence Party primary.\u00a0 This is why I love primaries.<\/p>\n

In AD-133<\/a> NRA endorsed incumbent Joe Errigo lost the GOP primary<\/a>.\u00a0 Marjorie Byrnes also supports gun rights<\/a> so it doesn’t matter.<\/p>\n

Ulster Co. Sheriff Paul VanBlarcum<\/a> lost the Democrat primary<\/a>, but will continue on the Republican line in the general election. He has been a strong advocate for gun owners<\/a>.<\/p>\n
