Gun control advocates have criticized the program, referring to it as \u201cmurder insurance.\u201d &#8230;&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>I knew this was coming because for years gun control advocates have pushed bills requiring gun owners have liability insurance (currently <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\/legislation\/bills\/2017\/A349\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">A-349<\/a><\/strong>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\/legislation\/bills\/2017\/a2260\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">A-2260<\/a><\/strong> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\/legislation\/bills\/2017\/s2857\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>S-2857A<\/strong><\/a>) and the response has always been it isn&#8217;t legal.<\/p>\n<p>While the antis are crowing about this decision now, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dfs.ny.gov\/about\/press\/pr1805021.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NYS Department of Financial Services<\/a> just nuked one of their key agenda items.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ssb_list_wrapper\"><li class=\"fb2\" style=\"width:135px\"><iframe src=\"\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/like.php?href=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gunpoliticsny.com%2F%3Fp%3D16569&amp;layout=button_count&amp;action=like&amp;show_faces=false&amp;share=true&amp;width=135&amp;height=21&amp;appId=307091639398582\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" style=\"border:none;
