{"id":16508,"date":"2018-04-24T15:58:37","date_gmt":"2018-04-24T19:58:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gunpoliticsny.com\/?p=16508"},"modified":"2018-04-24T15:58:37","modified_gmt":"2018-04-24T19:58:37","slug":"the-set-up","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.gunpoliticsny.com\/?p=16508","title":{"rendered":"The Set Up"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.governor.ny.gov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Governor Cuomo<\/a> does not want the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.newyorksenatedems.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Democrat clown caucus<\/a> in charge of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">State Senate<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>With the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nysenategop.net\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Republicans<\/a> on track to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lohud.com\/story\/news\/politics\/elections\/2018\/04\/24\/37th-district-special-election-results-state-senate\/543005002\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">lose today&#8217;s special election<\/a>, Democrats should have the numeric majority of 32 seats by tomorrow and Cuomo does not want to put up with their stupidity in an election year.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s look at the facts.<\/p>\n<p>From City &amp; State, &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/cityandstateny.com\/articles\/politics\/news-politics\/simcha-felder-andrew-cuomo-hasnt-talked-reuniting-state-senate.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Felder: Cuomo hasn\u2019t talked to me about reuniting the Senate since 2017<\/a>&#8220;:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\/senators\/simcha-felder\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">State Sen. Simcha Felder<\/a> says he\u2019s still waiting for a call from Gov. Andrew Cuomo &#8230; The governor has not spoken to Felder on the topic of rejoining the Democrats since well before the IDC <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cityandstateny.com\/articles\/politics\/new-york-state\/new-york-senate-democratic-unity-deal-what-knowl.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">announced<\/a> it was dissolving and folding back into the Democratic party, Felder said. Furthermore, he said, no one gave him any advance notice about the IDC\u2019s plans to reunite, either. \u201cThe governor has not.
