{"id":16480,"date":"2018-04-18T11:12:56","date_gmt":"2018-04-18T15:12:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gunpoliticsny.com\/?p=16480"},"modified":"2018-04-18T11:12:56","modified_gmt":"2018-04-18T15:12:56","slug":"intimidation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.gunpoliticsny.com\/?p=16480","title":{"rendered":"Intimidation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Gun control advocates have long tried to intimidate gun owners especially <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nra.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NRA<\/a> members.<\/p>\n<p>Here are a couple of recent examples of the more egregious behavior.<\/p>\n<p>First, as <a href=\"http:\/\/westchester.news12.com\/story\/37979390\/rockland-nra-member-files-complaint-after-anti-gun-sign-left-on-her-lawn\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a follow up<\/a> to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gunpoliticsny.com\/?p=16466\">FNRA protest in Rockland<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><center><div class='jwplayer' id='jwplayer-0'><\/div><script type='text\/javascript'>if(typeof(jQuery)==\"function\"){(function($){$.fn.fitVids=function(){}})(jQuery)};jwplayer('jwplayer-0').setup({\"aspectratio\":null,\"width\":480,\"height\":270,\"primary\":\"html5\",\"image\":\"\/images\/blackbox.jpg\",\"file\":\"http:\/\/www.gunpoliticsny.com\/video\/RocklandNRAHarassment.mp4\"});\n<\/script><\/center>Next, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nydailynews.com\/news\/politics\/state-urges-banks-insurers-stop-biz-gun-industry-article-1.3939919\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Governor Cuomo tries going after banks<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.governor.ny.gov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8220;Gov. Cuomo\u2019s administration<\/a> is urging banks and insurance companies in New York to reconsider any ties they have to the gun industry &#8230; the state\u2019s top financial services regulator warns banks and insurers of the \u201creputational risk\u201d they incur by doing business with the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nra.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">National Rifle Association<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nssf.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the gun industry<\/a>.
