The Dutchess County Young Republicans<\/a> have held an annual Shoot the Shamrock fundraiser around St. Patrick’s Day at the Dutchess County Pistol Association<\/a> for a number of years.<\/p>\n

This year their counterparts at the DC Young Democrats<\/a> have taken umbrage<\/a>:<\/p>\n

“The Dutchess County Young Democrats group charged its political counterpart, the Dutchess County Young Republicans, with playing \u201carrogant politics\u201d by hosting their recent \u201cShoot the Shamrock\u201d fundraiser using sketches of the Democratic Party donkey mascot as the target.\u00a0 Young Democrats\u2019 Chairman Frank Mazzella said the GOP leadership \u201cfailed miserably\u201d by using the donkey image and posting it online …”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The DCYR’s only failure was to appropriately respond to Mazzella’s attempt to intimidate them.<\/p>\n

“… \u201cIt\u2019s almost like they can say anything they like without any recourse,\u201d he said. \u201cTo be an example as a leader in a political party or be involved in a political party takes a certain kind demeanor in which you would conduct yourself and this is not at all in any way, shape or form the way they should conduct themselves.\u201d …”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Melted snowflakes.<\/p>\n

“… Mazzella said in these times of \u201chorrendous mass shootings,\u201d he was glad to see the GOP group included gun safety training. But, he said they should set \u201cpositive examples of behavior, not hateful ones.\u201d …”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Mazzella is too dense to grasp that DCYR’s are mocking Democrats.\u00a0 Given their Party’s symbol is an ass that should be expected.<\/p>\n

“… Leadership of the Dutchess Young Republicans could not be reached for comment Tuesday evening.”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

They should have been all over this, laughing at Mazzella and using his stupidity as a fundraising tool.<\/p>\n
