As sort of a follow up<\/a> to my previous post, “Progressive Dems Question NRA Ads<\/a>“:<\/p>\n

Andrew Cuomo<\/a> … Democratic committee members questioned the effectiveness of the ad given its intent to criticize Republicans on gun control. \u201cThe ad buy is not targeted to a region in which there are close swing districts, nor does it mention any Republican by name,\u201d the letter states. \u201cIt appears to be a re-election ad.\u201d …”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

That’s because it is<\/span> a re-election ad.<\/p>\n

Cuomo doesn’t personally care about gun control.\u00a0 His SAFE Act was nothing but a miscalculated attempt at raising his national profile for a possible presidential bid down the road.\u00a0 So is this.\u00a0 So is just about everything else he does.\u00a0 Cuomo isn’t an ideologue.\u00a0 He’s an ego-manic.\u00a0 The Democrat Party is nothing but a tool for him to advance his own political standing.<\/p>\n
