Hoylman is right.\u00a0 The license plate idea is dumb.<\/p>\n

“… The bill\u2019s sponsor, Republican Sen. Jim Tedisco<\/a> from Schenectady, was angered by the remarks. He accused Democrats of having a double standard. He said the Democrats do not object to armed guards at the State Capitol, yet some Democrats voted against the school safety enhancement measures. \u201cHypocrites! Shameless!\u201d Tedisco shouted. \u201cYou want our law enforcement officials in the LOB (Legislative Office Building) and the Capitol to protect you, but don\u2019t put them in the schools.\u201d …”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Tedisco is right.\u00a0 Democrats are hypocritical over armed guards.<\/p>\n

“… Senate Deputy Democratic Leader Michael Gianaris<\/a>, from Queens, called the license plate bill \u201cembarrassing\u201d in the face of the mass shootings, but said he\u2019s reluctantly a supporter.\u00a0 \u201cI hope it makes you happy at the end of the day,\u201d Gianaris said. \u201cBecause you are doing nothing to protect our children with this nonsense.\u201d …”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Gianaris is right.\u00a0 The bill is an embarrassment.\u00a0 So is all the gun control crap<\/a> the Democrat conference wants.<\/p>\n

The reality is that neither the Republicans nor Democrats are the least bit interested in addressing the issue seriously.\u00a0 In the end all we have a perfect example of why the New York state legislature is the poster-child for incompetence and corruption in government.<\/p>\n
