<a href=\"http:\/\/www.gallup.com\/poll\/127439\/Election-2010-Key-Indicators.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Gallup&#8217;s generic polling<\/a> shows the number of voters  saying that they would vote for Republicans rising three points from  last week, while the number saying they will vote for Democrats dropped  four points.\u00a0 The 49%-43% lead for the Republicans is the largest that  the pollster has ever recorded for the party.\u00a0 Moreover, Democratic  enthusiasm for voting this fall fell a point, while enthusiasm among  Republicans stayed about fifteen points higher.\u00a0 This indicates an even  wider lead for Republicans once Gallup imposes a likely voter screen  this fall &#8230;&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Instead of taking advantage of this, what do we get from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nygop.org\" target=\"_blank\">NY GOP<\/a>? \u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/lazio.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Rick Lazio<\/a>. \u00a0According to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.rbj.net\/article.asp?aID=184015\" target=\"_blank\">every poll I&#8217;ve seen<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.andrewcuomo.com\" target=\"_blank\">Andrew Cuomo<\/a> will <a href=\"http:\/\/tpmlivewire.talkingpointsmemo.com\/2010\/05\/everythings-coming-up-cuomo-polls-show-gopers-getting-trounced-in-ny-gov-race.php\" target=\"_blank\">squash him like a bug<\/a>. \u00a0Why? \u00a0It&#8217;s not because people are in love with Cuomo. \u00a0I like this observation from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.newscopy.org\/2010\/06\/republicans-can-win-as-reformers-the-politics-of-subtraction-doesnt-win-elections.html\" target=\"_blank\">Bob Fois<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;&#8230;
