Rick Lazio<\/a>, Steve Levy<\/a> and Carl Paladino<\/a> had a Q&A session at a GOP candidates forum<\/a> in Canastota over the weekend. \u00a0Paladino at least touched on guns:<\/p>\n

“… \u201cMy philosophy is Conservative Republican,\u201d he said, explaining how he is against abortion, gay marriage and gun control<\/strong> …”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Unfortunately, it appears Lazio has a majority of support<\/a> to secure the GOP gubernatorial nomination. \u00a0Starting today Paladino and Levy will begin airing ads<\/a> looking to cut into that support prior to the upcoming GOP convention. \u00a0According to the Buffalo News<\/a>:<\/p>\n

“… The radio ads feature Paladino speaking to his audience about cutting taxes, slashing spending and creating jobs. The TV spot, meanwhile, features an announcer asking Paladino\u2019s signature question of whether \u201cyou\u2019re mad as hell about the mess in Albany?\u201d …”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

It will be interesting to see if he mentions guns in any of them. \u00a0I would be surprised if Levy brings it up. \u00a0I knows he’s been asked about it and it’s clearly not a hot button issue for him.<\/p>\n
