Cuomo<\/a> has hired two Florida fundraisers, a sign he\u2019s building a national network to launch a presidential bid, sources told The Post &#8230; The governor has been expanding his national profile since the Democrats\u2019 dreadful showing in November &#8230;&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Oh my God, where to even begin with this?<\/p>\n<p>How on earth can Cuomo build a national network of support when I cannot think of a single elected Democrat who has come out in public and said they like him let alone encouraged him to run for president?  I cannot even think of one who said he should run for a third term as governor in &#8217;18.<\/p>\n<p>Expanding his profile will only expand the number of people who despise him.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;&#8230; &#8220;When <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hillaryclinton.com\" target=\"_blank\">Hillary Clinton<\/a> was running he never wanted to have anyone speculate he\u2019s running, but now the strategy is pretty different,\u201d said <a href=\"http:\/\/www.fenton.com\/our-people\/karen-hinton\/\" target=\"_blank\">Karen Hinton<\/a>, a former Cuomo aide. \u201cHe is positioning himself to be seen as a liberal who can speak to a national audience.\u201d &#8230;&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Speaking is not the problem.  What comes out of his mouth is the problem.  If Cuomo actually tries running expect non-stop ads based upon <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.timesunion.com\/capitol\/archives\/203801\/cuomo-extreme-conservatives-have-no-place-in-the-state-of-new-york\/\" target=\"_blank\">this statement<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;&#8230; You\u2019re seeing that play out in New York. \u2026 The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nygop.org\" target=\"_blank\">Republican Party<\/a> candidates are running against the SAFE Act \u2014 it was voted for by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nysenategop.net\" target=\"_blank\">moderate Republicans<\/a> who run the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\" target=\"_blank\">Senate<\/a>! Their problem is not me and the Democrats; their problem is themselves. Who are they? Are they these extreme conservatives who are right-to-life, pro-assault-weapon, anti-gay? Is that who they are?
