Sen. Jim Tedisco<\/a> admits the obvious<\/a>:<\/p>\n

“… Tedisco said he was impressed by what he described as the governor\u2019s candor about their partisan differences. He recalled that someone in the room noted to Cuomo<\/a> that he had campaigned against a few members of the chamber\u2019s GOP conference<\/a> in the most recent election cycle. \u201c(Cuomo) said, \u2018You can\u2019t call that campaigning,’\u201d Tedisco said \u2014 a sentiment sure to warm the hearts of the Senate\u2019s mainline Democratic conference<\/a>. The governor \u201cmentioned he had $19 million in the bank (for his campaign committee),\u201d Tedisco added. \u201cHe mentioned he could use that money very aggressively, and that he didn\u2019t. He mentioned he could have done a lot more in terms of campaigning ….\u201d”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Republicans shouldn’t be laughing about this.\u00a0 They won because Cuomo chose not to use his resources against them.\u00a0 There is no way he did this out of the goodness of his heart.\u00a0 Cuomo expects something in return, most likely that the Republicans support his<\/span> agenda.\u00a0 Cuomo’s agenda does not include modifying the SAFE Act.<\/p>\n
