NRA<\/a> spends a lot of time focusing on the Supreme Court<\/a> when in fact they only hear a very small number of the gun cases out there. The bulk of the action takes place at the local level where gun owners should focus most of their attention.<\/p>\n

For example, the Buffalo News reports<\/a> on the race for Eric County District Attorney between Joe Treanor<\/a> and John Flynn<\/a>:<\/p>\n

“… Treanor called New York\u2019s controversial restrictions on military-style rifles \u201cinherently flawed\u201d and said he would use prosecutorial discretion to avoid turning \u201cotherwise law-abiding citizens into convicted felons.\u201d Countered Flynn: \u201cIt is a dangerous path to take if you are out there as a district attorney making a determination on what laws are flawed.\u201d He said he\u2019ll enforce all laws on the books …”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Flynn’s statement is total B.S.\u00a0 There has to be prosecutorial discretion for no other reason then there simply aren’t the resources available to investigate and prosecute all matters which come before the D.A.’s office.<\/p>\n

The choice here is clear.<\/p>\n
