{"id":1326,"date":"2010-04-21T11:16:53","date_gmt":"2010-04-21T15:16:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.gunpoliticsny.com\/?p=1326"},"modified":"2010-04-21T11:18:08","modified_gmt":"2010-04-21T15:18:08","slug":"endorsement-for-ball","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.gunpoliticsny.com\/?p=1326","title":{"rendered":"Endorsement for Ball"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.nysrpa-pvf.org\" target=\"_blank\">We&#8217;ve<\/a> made our <a href=\"http:\/\/readme.readmedia.com\/New-York-State-Rifle-Pistol-Association-Endorses-Greg-Ball-for-State-Senate\/1237867\" target=\"_blank\">first endorsement<\/a> for the fall elections, <a href=\"http:\/\/ball4ny.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Greg Ball<\/a> for Senate in SD-40 (Westchester, Putnam and Dutchess). \u00a0It&#8217;s an open seat. \u00a0He has to get through a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cityhallnews.com\/newyork\/article-1229-ball-attracts-new-primary-challengers-for-leibellrss-westchester_putnam-senate-seat.html\" target=\"_blank\">Republican primary<\/a> against Somers Town Supervisor Mary Beth Murphy and possibly former judge Jim Borkowski. \u00a0The winner (Greg) will face <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lohud.com\/article\/20100420\/NEWS01\/4200378\/-1\/newsfront\/Kaplowitz-running-for-state-Senate\" target=\"_blank\">Westchester County Legislator Michael Kaplowitz<\/a> in November. \u00a0Kaplowitz has run and lost before. \u00a0He also had an undesirable interest in &#8220;smart guns&#8221;
