The full 9th Circuit Court<\/a> ruled there is no right to carry a concealed gun<\/a> for self-defense:<\/p>\n

“… “The protection of the Second Amendment<\/a> \u2014 whatever the scope of that protection may be \u2014 simply does not extend to the carrying of concealed firearms in public by members of the general public.” … “Because the Second Amendment does not protect in any degree the right to carry concealed firearms in public, any prohibition or restriction a state may choose to impose on concealed carry \u2014 including the requirement of ‘good cause,’ however defined \u2014 is necessary allowed by the Amendment,” the 9th Circuit said …”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Open carry was not part of the decision.<\/p>\n

Makes me wonder what would happen if the courts ultimately decide concealed carry can be restricted, but open carry cannot?<\/p>\n

I’m sure the NRA<\/a> is going to use this for GOTV<\/a> efforts this fall.<\/p>\n
