The deal the Senate Republicans<\/a> have with Governor Cuomo<\/a> is still intact as Fred Dicker reports<\/a>:<\/p>\n

“Republican Senate Majority Leader John Flanagan<\/a> is close to a \u201cFaustian pact\u2019\u2019 with Democratic Gov. Cuomo to raise the state\u2019s minimum wage<\/a> to a national high of $15 an hour … A source close to Flanagan (R-Suffolk) said the deal would involve Cuomo agreeing to do \u201clittle if anything\u2019\u2019 to help Senate Democrats<\/a>, now just one vote shy of a majority, win the upcoming April 19 special election to replace former Senate Majority Leader Dean Skelos (R-Nassau)<\/a>, who was ousted in December after being convicted on corruption charges<\/a> …”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The writing on the wall<\/a> was evident a couple weeks ago when Republican Senators didn’t attend the state GOP convention in Buffalo<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Let’s see if this boosts chances of Assemblyman Michael Fitzpatrick or someone else primarying Flanagan<\/a> this fall.<\/p>\n
