Charles Schumer<\/a> next year, The Post has learned.\u00a0 Two of the congressmen, both from upstate, are pro-choice and pro-gay-marriage, making them exceptions in a socially conservative New York party but also making them \u201cpromising\u2019\u2019 as statewide contenders, said a knowledgeable Republican activist &#8230;&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Not our issues.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;&#8230; The third congressman, <a href=\"http:\/\/peteking.house.gov\" target=\"_blank\">Rep. Peter King<\/a> of Nassau County, is conservative on social issues but is also a high-profile critic of some of the GOP\u2019s most prominent national conservative activists &#8230; While King, 71, has toyed with the possibility of mounting a presidential campaign himself, he\u2019s demonstrated little popularity with the national GOP base and is widely seen as unlikely to do so.\u00a0 \u201cI really think King might be interested in going after Schumer,\u2019\u2019 the GOP activist contended &#8230;&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Pete King is a major league antigun RINO asshole.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;&#8230; Adele Malpass, wife of former New York Senate hopeful and Reagan and George H.W.
