<a href=\"http:\/\/www.pef.org\" target=\"_blank\">PEF<\/a> is joining several other unions in sitting out the general election, declining to pick a favorite between the Democratic ticket and the Republicans, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.robastorino.com\" target=\"_blank\">Astorino<\/a> and his running mate, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SheriffMoss\" target=\"_blank\">Chemung County Sheriff Chris Moss<\/a>.\u00a0 \u201cI don\u2019t foresee that the Public Employees Federation will do an endorsement in the general election,\u201d union President Susan Kent said &#8230; Four years ago, PEF broke ranks with its fellow public sector unions \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cseany.org\" target=\"_blank\">CSEA<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nysut.org\" target=\"_blank\">NYSUT<\/a> \u2013 and backed Cuomo for governor.\u00a0 This time around, Cuomo is running without the support of all three, and he doesn\u2019t have the backing of the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.aflcio.org\" target=\"_blank\">AFL-CIO<\/a>, either.\u00a0 Kent said the union\u2019s focus will now move to contract negotiation preparation, noting that PEF has to return to the bargaining table next year \u2013 a year ahead of its fellow public sector unions &#8230;&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Unions are the backbone of the Democrat Party.\u00a0 If they aren&#8217;t planning on showing up, who exactly is going to vote for Cuomo?<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ssb_list_wrapper\"><li class=\"fb2\" style=\"width:135px\"><iframe src=\"\/\/www.facebook.com\/plugins\/like.php?href=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.gunpoliticsny.com%2F%3Fp%3D10722&amp;layout=button_count&amp;action=like&amp;show_faces=false&amp;share=true&amp;width=135&amp;height=21&amp;appId=307091639398582\" scrolling=\"no\" frameborder=\"0\" style=\"border:none;
