Cuomo, The Post has learned. Jindal, like New Jersey\u2019s Christie a potential presidential candidate in 2016, agreed last week to host a big-ticket fund-raiser for Westchester County Executive Astorino in Manhattan on Oct. 16 &#8230; \u201cGov. Jindal believes this race is winnable by Rob, and he wants to come in, and he\u2019ll be doing the fund-raising event for us,\u2019\u2019 Astorino spokeswoman <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jessicaproud\" target=\"_blank\">Jessica Proud<\/a> told The Post &#8230; Among GOP governors planning to campaign \u2014 and raise funds \u2014 on Astorino\u2019s behalf are <a href=\"http:\/\/www.in.gov\/gov\" target=\"_blank\">Mike Pence<\/a> of Indiana, <a href=\"http:\/\/governor.state.tx.us\" target=\"_blank\">Rick Perry<\/a> of Texas, and <a href=\"http:\/\/walker.wi.gov\" target=\"_blank\">Scott Walker<\/a> of Wisconsin, who has already held one fund-raiser for Astorino, officials said.&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Good.\u00a0 Help Rob and diminish Christie for &#8217;16.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;&#8230; Republicans were in open rebellion at a recent state committee meeting in Syracuse when Tom Dunham, chief political operative to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nysenategop.net\" target=\"_blank\">Senate GOP leader<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.andrewcuomo.com\" target=\"_blank\">Cuomo<\/a> ally <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nysenate.gov\/senator\/dean-g-skelos\" target=\"_blank\">Dean Skelos<\/a>, refused to commit to helping Astorino\u2019s campaign &#8230;&#8221;<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>That&#8217;s because Skelos and most of the Senate Republicans have given their defacto endorsement to Gov.
