Suffolk Co. range bills on agenda

Two bills of interest are on the agenda for the Suffolk County Legislature’s Environment, Parks & Agriculture Committee meeting on Monday, November 9 @ 10:00am:

  • Res 1652-2020, Requiring legislative approval for future contracts involving recreational shooting ranges on County property.
  • Res 1801-2020, Requiring an environmental hazard mitigation plan to address lead waste upon closure of County-owned recreational shooting ranges for 90-days or longer.

The meeting is open to the public and will be held at the William H. Rogers Legislature Building, 725 Veterans Memorial Highway in Hauppauge. Comments may be sent via e-mail to clerk.legislature@suffolkcountyny.gov or brief voice messages left by calling 631-853-3685.

  1. Any truth to the rumor that a few of the close state senate races in Nassau flipped back to the Dems last night upon counting absentee ballots? Haven’t seen anything in the news but a few Twitter posts suggested it.
