Courts Reject Effort To Allow Release Of “Ghost Gun” Files

Following up to Sunday’s video on the courts blocking release of 3D-printed gun files are press statements from the New York and Washington State Attorney Generals touting their win.

Courts Reject Trump Administration’s Effort To Allow Release Of 3D-Printed “Ghost Gun” Files:

… “Ghost Guns threaten the safety of every man, woman, and child in America,” said Attorney General James. “We filed this lawsuit to stop the Trump Administration from making it easier for our schools, our offices, and our places of worship from turning into killing fields, and, thanks to the court, the president has been rebuffed in his attempt to cater to the one constituency he cares about: the gun lobby. We must finally put an end to the senseless cycle of gun deaths that we’ve seen in Parkland, Las Vegas, Charleston, Orlando, Pittsburgh, Aurora, El Paso, Virginia Beach, Newtown, and so many other devastated communities.” …

Judge blocks new Trump Administration effort to allow release of 3D-printed ghost guns in AG Ferguson lawsuit:

“A federal judge has granted Attorney General Bob Ferguson’s request to block the Trump Administration’s latest effort to allow 3D-printed gun files to be released on the internet. These files would allow plug-and-play access to 3D-print unregistered, untraceable firearms that can also be very difficult to detect, even with a metal detector. Untraceable firearms are sometimes called “ghost guns.” … “These downloadable guns are unregistered and very difficult to detect, even with metal detectors,” Ferguson said. “If the Trump Administration has its way, these ghost guns will be available to anyone regardless of age, mental health or criminal history. For the second time, we have blocked that effort in court. We will keep fighting back against this unlawful, dangerous policy as many times as it takes.” …”

  1. My Guru, George Carlin, Would say “Never believe anything the Gov’t tells you”, here is a case in point. Demagoguery is the language of these mendacious bureaucrats.DMH

  2. Why do they speak as if we need their permission at all? Are these old fools not away that P2P file sharing doesn’t need their vetting? That’s by design. That’s why P2P technology and Bitcoin are out of the reach and control of authoritarian parasites. These suits are a real joke!
